Enviro: From 1st - 3rd World
Day Six: Foodless Friday

I am pooooooped, just got home from work .. this is going to be short so I can catch some z’s .. yeeeeeeeeessssss one more day ;)

1. Consumption - What did you consume today?

Water – 25 minute shower this morning, brushed in the shower, flushed the toilet and washed my hands. Drank lots of water all day ..

Food – Don’t worry I ate ..

Electricity – Lotioned and got dressed in the bathroom again to conserve energy. Laptop is on to do this, my phone and ipod are not charging .. my house is pitch black & everyone is asleep.

Gasoline – #carownerproblems

$$Money$$ - $5 spent for pastelitos and a bottle of water.

2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?

- I did not text or call anyone today so my phone is still fully charged. I am turning off my phone for the night because I don’t want any interuptions while I snooze! I used my ipod and I am going to listen it while I sleep. I drank a lot of water today because that’s my usual thing. I had 4 delicious pastelitos from this morning but I didn’t eat them all I shared .. less food I ate .. I only had one.

3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples.

- Same as the last few days, I reduce electricity consumption by using the light all at one time in while in the bathroom and these 25 minute shower ain’t so bad (three days strong)! This no showering in the night time probably won’t last either  .. think that is kinda gross.

4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this?

- I see that alot of people are just about ready for this thing to be over but then again for people who are so through with this project a couple of them have been going really hard. Anyways keep up this remarkable work for this last day that we have to do, we are all amazing. Goodnight :)

Day Five: Technology Thursday

With the godchildren tonight so this is a little different from the usual ..

1. Consumption - What did you consume today?

Water – Since I was called out by a Taesha G. Jobson last night, I decided to take another 25 minute shower this morning :-P, brushed in the shower, flushed the toilet and washed my hands. Gave the godkids a bath, washed some dishes and I am not taking a PM shower!

Food – It was one of those nights; rice, chicken and brocoli yummmm :)

Electricity – Lotioned and got dressed in the bathroom again to conserve energy. Laptop is on to do this, my phone and ipod are not charging and I have no clue how to work direct tv cable so that means no tv is on at there house. They have been asleep for 2 hours and now all the lights have been off.

Gasoline – #carownerproblems

$$Money$$ - none spent, gained $55.

2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?

- Did not text or call anyone today so my phone is still fully charged. I use my ipod but that was only in the morning and on the bus 23 .. you NEED to use you ipod on that bus , so much goes down -_-

3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples.

- I can probably continue the reduction of electricity I consume and I can probably continue less social networking, I all ready don’t like the sites anyways. Less tv is cool, so that would not be a problem. I can’t and I won’t promise a decretion in showertime and thats only beacuse Taesha SMH’d me, blame her!

4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this?

- I am so upset that the water calculatpr thing is not loading for me, that was something that I really wanted to try and see what I really am doing, you know, really look at my water footprint. I am very excited to see how dedicated classmates are .. it makes my dashboard very interesting and makes this project a little bit more worth it .. makes you want to do better then the first and et cetera. Keep up the good work everyone :)

Day Four: Waterless Wednesday

1. Consumption - What did you consume today?

Water – Another 25 minute shower this morning, brushed in the shower, flushed the toilet and washed my hands. Drank a full bottle of water and from the water bubbler. Washed my cats food bowl, gave him new water and no PM shower!

Food – I’m eating ..

Electricity – Lotioned and got dressed in the bathroom again to conserve energy. Laptop is on to do this, phone is charging but not my ipod. Living room and kitchen light is on and the tv in the living room everything else is off.

Gasoline – #carownerproblems

$$Money$$ - $1 for a bottle of water.

2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?

- In respect of Waterless Wednesday I cut down on water usage, instead of water had juice, does that count ? Anyways I am not talking a PM shower.

I can’t promise that my showertime will decrease but I’m going to try for this 3rd world living. I probably won’t reduce showertime because that is something that I am so used to, its like once you do something 21 times, you never forget .. something like you do what you practice.

4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this?

- I finally follow more than 12 people (now 87) yay me! Is rice something that most 3rd world countries eat all the time? Every single post that pops up on my dashboard has almost everyone and there grandmamas eating rice and chicken or some other type of meat. Thats kinda starnge to me. I do not like rice like that so I probably won’t hop on that ban-wagon but who cares! I like how some people are reducing there social networking time and reducing showertime.

Day Three: Try Harder Tuesday

1. Consumption - What did you consume today?

Water – The morning shower was the usual time, long .. but I brushed me teeth in the shower. Flushed the toilet and washed my hands and had the usual drinking of water throughout the day. After seeing how much water I use and being a little “embarrassed” by all those number less than mine I took a 25 minute shower instead of 30-45-60 shower (PROGRESS).

Food – Breakfast and lunch was at school and I don’t think I ate dinner? (WOW that’s really bad if I don’t remember if I ate or not, time to stop being ratchet!)

Electricity – Today like most days I used a light to get dressed, but instead of going room to room I stayed in the bathroom and got dressed in the morning and evening. Again, using my laptop but also watching tv with the lights off .. my phone and ipod has enough charge to last me through the day tomorrow that I am not going to charge them ; )

Gasoline – #carownerproblems

$$Money$$ - Today was a little crazy, my mom told me that I didn’t have any money in my account so the whole day I thought I literally only had $2 to my name (attempted to plan how to make that $2 last till Saturday) .. when I finally realized mother dearest couldn’t possibly know whats in my account it got bananas. I checked and I had money .. thanks Ma for finding a way for me to not spend money, just LIE and tell me I don’t have any lol, your the best -_-.

2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?

- WATER USAGE! I realized I have a problem and I am gonna get help but damn the shower is trying to lead me down a rode of destruction x|

3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples.

- The amount of electricity that I use has been pretty good. I find myself shutting the light off after leaving a room and not using the lights unless completely necessary. I cut down my electricity consumption by getting dressed and lotion in the bathroom, that way I don’t have to use it in the other room. This way I am saving even more for my mom :)

4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this?

- Mr. Gay, you are rubbing off on us .. the belief that we can save the world is flowing through these tumblr things. We are all finding ways to reduce our consumption and I feel enjoying this process (maybe that is the way I envision people saying things). I am trying to adjust but its not an easy rode to recovery!

Day Two: Money Monday

1. Consumption - What did you consume today?

Water – Well, I know I said before that I was not going to cut down on my shower time but I tried today and that did not work. I tried a 7 minute shower and literally jumped back in,  did not feel clean. Washed my cats food bowl and gave him new water. Flushed toliets, brushed teeth and washed hands and while brushing teeth and washing hands, I turned the water off while not in use ;) At work today they had me washing dishes o_0 the process and the amount of water used is riduculous ( sorry ) .. I drink water all the time throughout the day, but I didn’t buy any bottles .. used the bubbler and tap.

Food – Breakfast and lunch was at school and had pizza for dinner, umm .. I also had some fro-yo ( shift meal ).

Electricity – Needed some light to get dressed in the morning, wasnt home in the afternoon and I am charging my phone, ipod and laptop ( woops ) other then that everythings cool .. typing in the dark.

Gasoline – #carownerproblems

$$Money$$ - Decided to be a nice older sister tonight annd bought my little brother some pizza for dinner, never doing that again because I just can’t say no to the little guy ( I think he knows this ) .. bought pizza, his lunch for tomorrow and some snacks for him ( $22 ). No money spent on transportation and took out $25 from my account but put it right back .. saved some money there!

2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?

- I tried to scale back on my money usage in respect of the day ( No Money Moday ) .. it did not happen. On a school day, I usually never have to come out of pocket but today I must’ve thought I had a money tree in my back yard because $22 is way more than the usual $5 a week ( unless I have plans ). I tried but it was no good!

3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples.

- The amount of electircity that I use has been pretty good. I find myslef shutting the light off after leaving a room and not using the lights unless completely necessary. I think this could be something that I make permanent because at the end of the day, money that my mom pays to the electric company is being saved because less is being consumed. Thats a good idea/plan!

4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this?

 - Everyone is hilarious .. I love how we are all actually attempting to do this save the world business ( thats positive ). I bow down to those who are able to cut down showertime, its difficult for me and still looking for a solution. The only way I will adjust my actions is if and only if, someone has an idea that is going to work, cool, non stinky and reasonable. I am open to anything, HELP .. I really want to do this & try but remember , NO REDUCTION OF SHOWERTIME :) Thank You <33333

Day One: Social Networking Sunday

1. Consumption - What did you consume today?

Water- I did not spend money on bottled water today , while at home and at work I drank from the tap .. I always drink water so that wasn’t a problem. Showering is an essential along with hand washing, teeth brushing and toilet flushing and I refuse to cut back, sorry.

Food- Breakfast and Lunch was so long ago I dont remember what I ate, but I ate .. Dinner was good. No snacks.

Electricity- In the morning I was not awake and in the afternoon I had left my house for work, the windows in my house allow the sun to shine in so turning on the lights was unecessary. The rest of the afternoon I was not home so I have no clue what went down. Evening time so many lights where on, but now people are heading to bed my laptop was the only electricity running.

Gasoline (fossil fuels)- #carownerproblems

$$Money$$ - What did you spend money on today? - I only had to spend money on transportation ($4) other then that my money is safe.

2. Reduction - In what area of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?

- Today I tried to cut back on my shower time but I thought that was crazy, that is why we have the over growing population of Body Odor -__- I scaled back on my spending and the amount of electricity that I use. I feel as this was successful. I barely used my phone today but not using/cutting back on my ipod is CRAZY. It helps me ignore the crazies on the corner at the bustop, the hoodrats & hoodroaches on the trains & buses and is used as a blockage to the creepies lerking everywhere. You can’t take that from me, I tried but then found myself becoming annoyed!

3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples.

- I dont think I did anything today that was that different from my normal daily routine. As stated before, the showertime is not getting reduced and ipod usage is not going anywhere either. Those are some things that are needed wanted. When it comes to facespace, I have NO patience for social netwroking sites already so I am fine when it comes to things like that .. I barely use my facebook so .. Depending on what the item of consumption is, I could probably cut back as well. For example, the amount of food consumed shouldn’t be an issue because I have a big family anways and I have no problem with sharing, thats something that happens regularly. Everyone gets the same portion to start and whoever wants more after everyone has eaten can get more if they want. This is all I could think of right now but even if I was to think of more, the contents of that list wouldn’t be an issue I dont think.
